Rye Assists Harrison with Fire at Westchester Country Club

At 1334hours, on Thursday December 13, the Harrison Fire Department was dispatched to 99 Biltmore Ave (The Westchester Country Club) for a report of visible smoke on the eighth floor of the main building. Engine 13 was first on scene and reported smoke showing out of eighth floor windows. Harrison Car 2161 requested Rye's Ladder Mutual Aid to the scene for support. Rye Car 2424, Ladder 25 and Utility 49 (with manpower) responded shortly after being dispatched. Rye and Harrison Firefighters worked together to extinguish the fire, ventilate and overhaul. Thanks to the efforts of both departments, only minimal damage was sustained.
