On Tuesday May 7, at 18:39 hours, the Rye Fire Department and Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook EMS were dispatched to a reported car into a utility pole on Forest Ave by the intersection of Oakwood Ave. Units on scene found a car rolled over on its side with a utility pole knocked down. The driver of the vehicle was able to self extricate and was tended to by EMS personnel. The road remained closed until the car and utility pole could be removed from the roadway. RFD units returned to service around 19:30 hours.
