On Wednesday May 15, at 21:41 hours, the Rye Fire Department, Rye Police Department and Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook EMS were dispatched to the area of 12 Manursing Way for a reported Serious MVA. Rye Police were first on scene and reported a car had hit a telephone pole and drove off the road. Car 2422 then requested that Engine 192 be added to the assignment as a precaution. However, the driver of the vehicle was out of the car when Rye FD apparatus arrived on scene. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries. Rye Fire units stood by awaiting the arrival of Con Ed and removal of the car. Manursing Way was closed for the duration of the incident, between Forest Ave and Van Rensselaer Rd. All fire and police units were clear of the scene by 22:30 hours.
