While many were sitting down to watch the Super Bowl, Rye FD was operating on Interstate 287 with a semi rollover. The exact location of the incident was on the ramp from 287 Eastbound to 95 Northbound, near the top of the ramp from Midland Ave (I-95 Exit 22). Firefighters assisted the towing operators with offloading all the cargo by hand, before the semi could be uprighted. RFD remained on scene for approx. 7 hours until the vehicle was removed from the roadway.

During this incident, Harrison FD had one engine (E10) on standby in their HQ until Rye FD could recall and assemble a crew to standby with Engine 193.
