| The Rye Fire Department web team has finished the upgrades and new look to the department website and we invite you to explore our new features to learn more about our department. The new look includes a new banner at the top of the page featuring pictures of Milton Point Station and Locust Ave Headquarters with a picture of the firefighters memorial on Milton Road in the middle. One of the new features includes the ryefire.com twitter account that the public can follow for important announcements and the announcements will also be available at the top of the webpage. One area of the website we are very excited about is that more of our history is online for the public to see. Our members see our history everyday on the walls of our firehouses with the many photos lining the halls dating back to the early 1900's. Now we bring that here for the public to see with a new photo section that shows fires Rye's bravest have battled over the years. In addition we also updated our apparatus photos and we have added more photos of our retired apparatus. A past chiefs section that list every chief of the department dating back to 1891. Learn more about our memorials that you pass everyday in Rye in our memorials section. And find out more about the Rye professional firefighters who are on duty 24/7 365 days a week. We hope that you enjoy the website and explore all of our menus. We will keep adding more so check back often and feel free to sign our guest book and leave us some feed back. |
