Rye Firefighters returned on Tuesday night from their trip to the Seagrave factory in Clintonville, WI where they took part in the final inspection of the new Ladder 25. Rick Lambiasi from Excelsior Garage in Mamaroneck, who is the local Seagrave dealer traveled with Rye Firefighters Todd Barnum, Allen Demmel, Arcadio Ocasio and Chief John Wickham. The firefighters spent 2 days at the Seagrave factory reviewing every detail of the truck, and making changes before the truck leaves the factory. According to career firefighter Todd Barnum there were no major changes that needed to be made that would delay the delivery to New York. Once the minor changes are complete the truck will leave the factory and be driven to Mamaroneck where Excelsior Garage will do the striping and mount the brackets for the tools. The truck should arrive in the next week and be in service by the end of September |
