Rye Fire Department Members assembled at Fire Headquarters at 0700 Hours on Memorial Day to pay their respects to those people who have died while serving in our country's armed forces. The event included a march from Locust Ave to the Firefighters Monument (Milton Rd X Grace Church St). While at the monument, The Chief of the Department, Peter Cotter as well as the Department Chaplain and some politicians spoke about honoring our departed members and service men and women who have made the ultimate sacrifice.

Shortly after the department's services, Rye FD participated in the Rye Memorial Day Parade, which started at Rye Train Station and marched to City Hall where the City's Memoiral Day Services began.
