Motorcycle Accident on Interstate 95

At 1030 hours on Sunday, October 4th, The Rye Fire Department and Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook EMS were dispatched to Interstate 95 Northbound at the Midland Ave Exit for a reported motor vehicle accident with a motorcycle down. Upon Arrival, Firefighters and Troopers found three bikers down, with one being unresponsive. Firefighters performed CPR on scene before the patient was transferred to EMS care. Mutual Aid Ambulances were called to the scene to transport the two additional patients to local trauma centers. Rye FD remained on scene until all patients were removed from the scene. The exact cause of the incident is under investigation by the New York State Police.

As with all highway calls, Harrison FD provided standby coverage in their HQ for the Rye Fire District.
