| On Sunday Evening, November 29th, The Rye Fire Department and Port Chester-Rye-Rye Brook EMS were dispatched to Interstate 95 Northbound near Exit 20 (Route 1). Upon Arrival, firefighters found a total of 15 cars involved in a multi vehicle accident. EMS began to triage all victims, noting a total of 9 patients. Additional ambulances were then requested to the scene to accommodate all patients. Firefighters assisted with accident clean up and fluid mitigation. Once all vehicles were moved to the shoulder and pateints were transported, Rye FD returned to service and turned the scene over to New York State Police. |
