Now that 2015 has come to an end, lets look back and see just how busy the Rye Fire Department actually was.

In the 2015, The Rye Fire Department responded to a total of 976 Alarms. Here is a partial breakdown by Alarm Disposition:

Motor Vehicle Fires: 5
Brush/Rubbish Fires: 9
Elevator Rescues: 10
Extrication of Victim(s) from Vehicle: 2
Hazardous Materials Spill: 10
Vehicle Accidents: 53
Vehicle or Structure Lockouts: 33
Misc Service: 67
Animal Rescue: 3
Public Assist: 7
Carbon Monoxide Alarm Malfunction: 58
Fire Alarm Malfunction: 148
Unintentional Activation of Alarm: 185
Good Intent: 25
Water or Steam Condition: 29
Gas Leaks (Natural or LPG): 74

In addition to covering alarms in our district, Rye FD provided mutual aid 8 times and received mutual aid 14 times.
