On Monday, June 20th at approx. 10:30pm, the Rye Fire Department was dispatched to Interstate 95 Northbound by Midland Ave Exit 22 for a reported Truck Fire. Engine 192 was first on scene and updated the location to mile maker 14.7, which put the incident in Port Chester FD's jurisdiction. Engine 192 quickly stretched lines to knockdown the fire before it could spread. Luckily, firefighters were able to contain the fire to just the engine compartment with little damage to the driver compartment.

Greenwich FD was also dispatched due to the conflicting reports of the incident's location and was quickly released from the scene. During the incident, Harrison FD had 1 Engine and 1 Ladder on standby for Rye to cover other calls in our district.
