I-95 Tractor-trailer fire

In the early morning of Wednesday March 12th, the Rye Fire Department was despatched to a tractor-trailer fire on I-95.

A tractor-trailer heading southbound was unable to avoid road debris and after veering left, hit the jersey barrier. Upon hitting the barrier the truck burst into flames and spilled its load of 5-gallon water bottles into the northbound lanes. While the driver was unhurt, traffic was closed in both directions until the fire was brought under control.
