| On Wednesday evening September 10 around 6pm, the Rye Fire Department was called to a reported structure fire on Hillcrest Lane, off of Midland Avenue. Arriving units found the home, which was unoccupied, to be heavily involved in fire. Mutual aid from surrounding departments was summoned to help quench the fire, which caused extensive damage.
