| On Saturday June 26 at 1410 the Rye FD responded to a report of smoke from a structure in the area of 144 Maple Avenue, in the "Dublin" section of the city. Car 2422 was first on scene and reported smoke in a neighboring house. The cause of this smoke turned out to be a fire adjacent to the rear corner of the home, which was quickly extinguished using pressurized water extinguishers. Firefighters remained on scene to check for extension, clear charred debris away from the home and await the arrival of Con Ed. The scene was turned over to the Building Department shortly before 1630. |
