On Wednesday, November 18th, Rye Firefighters, along with firefighters from Harrison Fire Department, Town of Mamaroneck Fire Department and the Village of Mamaroneck Fire Department participated in a live burn drill at the Westchester County Fire Training Center. This training allowed firefighters to practice their skills under live fire conditions. Firefighters worked in rotating groups as they practiced their engine company and ladder company tactics. This type of training forces firefighters to think critically and rely on their past training.
