The Rye Fire Department morns the loss of Past Chief George Hogben.

The Rye Fire Department and its members mourn the loss of 32-year member, George Hogben, who passed away on February 12th 2021.

George joined the Poningoe Engine and Hose Company in 1988. During his time in the department, George was Chief of the Rye Fire Department three times. Once from 2002 - 2004 and then from 2008-2012. George also has served as Warden and Captain of the Poningoe Engine and Hose Company.

Always smiling and a dedicated member, George will be missed by all who knew him.
